Farewell Achmed!
Achmed and his 72 (okay there were really only eight) virgins went to their new home today. For those of you unaccustomed to my warped humor, those would be our chickens. Only they’re not ours anymore!
Next week the boy scouts will start removing our ugly old privacy fence, woohoo! Then we’ll tear down the old dog run and move the garden shed onto the concrete pad that the run sits on.

The RV is still in Missouri. The damage has been repaired and ended up being quite minor, despite how bad it looked. Unfortunately, when they did a systems check at our request, the refrigerator is no longer working. See the mess? All the (whatever) coolent stuff leaked out. Since the fridge is in perfect condition otherwise, we’re simply have the cooling unit replaced, but even at that, the replacement part is $1200! Good grief!
We’re still waiting for Jim’s new contract to be finalized, but now it looks like we may actually only have to be in New Orleans a week or so a month, at least for the next year or so… so we’re going to hold off on trading the RV in and just use the one we have for now.
Remember the chunky looking mission chairs I had ordered for our nook that I liked so well? After having them for a month or so, we finally decided to order two more. I’ve no idea where we’ll put them, but in case we move, I’d sure like to have four of them.
I still am not doing any sewing. I have been squeezing in a whole lot of reading time though!

Just don’t ask the “systems” to check anything else…..LOL…should I go to my corner now?………oh wait, I’m already there.
Okay, then, I’ll turn my face to the wall.
I guess it’s better to find out about the fridge before you’re stocked with food in N~O! I try to find the bright side of any big repair…
Will you park the RV there or bing it back each time? I’m so glad that you don’t have to be away from your home so much.
Are you using your Kindle to read? Do you like it and would you recommend the older model or the new model. I’m thinking of asking for one for Christmas.
Ladybug
Not sure yet Anne, depends on how often we actually end up being there. If we’re here more than there, we’ll bring it home… I understand the crime rate down there is pretty bad.
Ladybug, the Kindle is one of the best purchases I have ever made! I have the Kindle 2 (not the larger DX) as I mainly read for pleasure and it’s the size of a paperback. I highly, highly recommend one!
Seems like the crime rate everywhere is bad, even where it didn’t use to be. I’m so glad you will have the dogs with you.
Have you seen/tried the new Artisan wholegrains bread book?
It’s been in my saved shopping cart at Amazon for some time!
I’ll order it eventually, LOL
Missing you online! Hope all is going with the move, etc.

I’m not liking the tone that the moderator is taking on the Bernina Software group. I’d had this feeling this whole week. What’s up?
Well, the software group just calls us complainers because the colors in our software is messed ??? Guess we should repair the software ourselves!
Just letting you know you are missed:)
Hope all is well with you and family.
Miss reading your news..hope you and yours are all well
Miss you. Hope all is well. Geri
