A little humor
It’s a slow day in a little East Texas town. The sun is beating down, and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit….. On this particular day a rich tourist from back east is driving through town. He stops at the motel and lays a $100 bill on the desk saying he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to spend the night.
As soon as the man walks upstairs, the owner grabs the bill and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher. The butcher takes the $100 and runs down the street to retire his debt to the pig farmer. The pig farmer takes the $100 and heads off to pay his bill at the supplier of feed and fuel. The guy at the Farmer’s Co-op takes the $100 and runs to pay his debt to the local prostitute, who has also been facing hard times and has had to offer her “services” on credit. The hooker rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill with the hotel owner.
The hotel proprietor then places the $100 back on the counter so the rich traveler will not suspect anything. At that moment the traveler comes down the stairs, picks up the $100 bill, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money, and leaves town.
No one produced anything. No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now out of debt and looks to the future with a lot more optimism.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States Government is conducting business today!

This morning I ran across a newly completed custom 5th wheel by New Horizons RV (which is one of the 3 builders we are looking at) and found this fabulous, glorious, most outstanding unit I’ve ever seen! OMG! The floor plan is nearly identical to the Nuwa Hitchhiker model I posted yesterday, but the attention to detail here is absolutely amazing.

Oh, my gosh, CJ–that is one fabulous 5th wheel. I told Mike he could run right out and trade my motor home on that one in a heart beat! It is beautiful–who makes New Horizon?
I agree, this unit is beautiful! You forget that you’re in a 5th wheel! How nice to be able to spend time in this unit. No matter where you are it feels like home! Wow!!
Fabulous isn’t it? New Horizon makes New Horizon
. They are custom built units, factory purchase only, no dealers. In the past, they have focused more on quality and less on “glitz”, unless of course that’s what you want built. They are the only 5 star rated 5th wheel manufacturer in the business, ahead of even Teton, but not as expensive. There’s a link to New Horizon in my post.
Now that is one beautiful fifth wheel!
I bet you could buy any two houses (or more) in this town for what that RV cost. A McMansion on wheels. LOL
LOL I don’t doubt it Linda, I bet that puppy is WAY expensive!
That is the most beautiful 5th wheel I have ever seen. Nicer than a lot of million dollar motor homes.
The 5th wheel is TO DIE FOR!!! And the joke was cute too!!
I’ve looked at a lot of 5th wheels but have never seen one like that. WOW!
CJ,
That is a beautiful RV. We only live 2 hrs from where they build those and my DH has decided when we get rid of our Excel that is where he wants to buy from. There quality is well worth the price. The only problem with researching is you have to make a decision
. Good Luck!
Sher, do you not like your Excel? They are on our top 3 list. We’ve about decided that New Horizons is out of our weight limit in the size we prefer. They were our first choice when we still had the semi for towing, but they are too heavy for our F450.
On December 18th, we’ll be taking the NuWa (Hitchhiker) factory tour. We haven’t done New Horizons, but we did tour Space craft, they make pretty incredible units too.
I love my excel……I don’t want to change other than a bigger one !
I like the idea of buying from home turf but my finality is the layout and storage lol. I like you want to buy without living room and dining room furniture so I can set it up my way, but that is still a little down the road so will keep my 34′ Excel till then, wow who knows what will be on the market then! Length and tower will be the deciding factor along with a place for my machines!
This is where we are in a different opinion. I think the finality will be what our towing truck will be.
Well if you get an HDT the sky is the limit when it comes to the trailer, LOL.
LOL I don’t think he wants to go that big. lol Which puts us back to the Excel !!!
We’ll be taking a look at the Excels tomorrow… but I’m 90% sure we’ll be going with Nuwa… it all comes down to floor plan in the end
.
