First two rows done…

Threads buried and sewn together. If I were to do this again, I think I'd go with a lighter weight wool, maybe sport weight. This is a bit chunky, but I'm having fun with it and it will be great for the porch!

Unless the plant crashes (again) Jim should get off early tonight (instead of at midnight) and have the entire weekend off! Then DAY shift next week, woohoo!
And then, if we're very luck, next weekend we might get to go home. If not, I have a mail problem, as I put our mail on hold for thirty days and that's all the longer the post office will hold it. Hmmm….
I ran to the store today for a small jug of buttermilk, Jim's been hinting that it's been ages since I've made him sourdough waffles, so they're on the agenda for the weekend, for him at least. My breakfast usually consists of a few cups of coffee and an apple. I'm down nine pounds and stuck there!
It's going to be a gorgeous weekend and I'm not sure what we're going to do. I was going to plan something but decided it would be more fun to wing it, depending on what we feel like doing. I'm still pretty sore from last weeks bikeride, so I don't know how much riding I'll be able to do this weekend. No matter what seat I try, I just don't seem to be able to ride without incredible pain to the inner pelvic bones, I feel like someone took a baseball bat to me if I spend more than thirty minutes in the saddle.
Hopefully Jim will be home in time for dinner tonight, I thought I'd grill some pork chops and zuchinni, and steam some rice for him.

I love your afghan. As someone who does not crochet, I really admire someone who has mastered it.

It is good you are getting time with Jim. I hope the two of you have a lovely weekend exploring the area.

Oh gosh Carol crocheting is the easiest thing in the world to do! If you’re interested in learning, don’t be afraid!

Sadly, the plant “burped” again and not only will Jim be working all weekend again, he’ll be tuck on night shift next week as well. :(

we used to bike ride a lot back years and years ago – I always remember being sore like you say, I would have to break it in gradually and eventually was able to ride almost every day but it took awhile to get there. Bike seats just aren’t comfy!

The bicycle does not bother my pelvic bone as much as my tail bone. I loved the banana seat when they were popular. Have a good weekend.

Oh my gosh, I hadn’t thought about banana seats in forever, I had one of those! How cool were they? LOL Along with the streamers in the handlebars? Thanks for reminding me of a great memory!
